Le Cateau sits atop a sloping site neighbouring an old bluestone homestead. The design and build was focused around creating contemporary Australian architecture as a nod to the neighbouring bluestone residence.

 

The 5 bedroom 3 bathroom family home features Australian native timbers, locally manufactured windows, tapware and basins, custom timber staircase & door jambs and concrete benchtops poured onsite.

 

The vaulted 6-meter atrium in the living room includes north-facing timber-framed triple-glazed sliding doors spanning 8-meters.

 

Framed entirely out of LVL and clad in a custom Ironbark profile, the house is cantilevered along the south-eastern portion of the site. But the city views from the master balcony make the juice worth the squeeze!

 

The house has achieved a 7 star NatHERS rating and was designed and built by Heidi Build.
